This is an excellent First Day Cover (FDC) signed by opera soprano Martina Arroyo. The FDC celebrates the centennial of the Metropolitan Opera. The cover contains drawings of both the new and old Met buildings. It has been postmarked Sept. 14, 1983. Arroyo has added “with very best wishes.” Some shadows appear in the scanned photo that are not on the actual envelope (it is not dirty or stained).
