This is a nice First Day Cover (FDC) signed by late American bass Jerome Hines. The FDC celebrates the centennial anniversary of the Metropolitan Opera and is postmarked Sept. 14, 1983. Jerome Hines was a regular at the Metropolitan Opera. A very religious man, Hines added a reference to a Bible verse “John 14:6” along with his autograph. The cover is in great condition. Some shadows appear on the scanned photo that are not on the actual envelope (it is not dirty or stained).
